This state was one of the original colonies to stand up to the English rule. Despite this fact, only a single battle was fought in this state. The battle, known as the Raid on Fort William and Mary, was fought on December 14th in the year 1774. Supplies were taken from the British at this battle and were stored in the homes of private citizens until the time came to use it for the war effort.
Per capita, New Hampshire citizens consume less electricity than almost any other state. This is partly due to the nuclear power plants that help take the strain off of local power grids and coal plants. Single person and residential use is known as being lower than the national average, and the demand for energy can be quite low due to the mild weather in the area.
